Kang Ha Neul And Lee Yoo Young Both Have Chilling Encounters With A New Face In "Insider"

JTBC’s “Insider” has shared an intriguing sneak peek of its upcoming episode!

“Insider” is a new action suspense drama about a judicial trainee whose life falls apart in the blink of an eye while going undercover to investigate a corrupt prosecutor. While in prison, he begins to plot revenge for the betrayal he’s experienced.

Kang Ha Neul stars as the vengeful Kim Yo Han, while Lee Yoo Young plays Oh Soo Yeon, a powerful and well-connected underground businesswoman who makes Kim Yo Han an appealing offer.

On the previous episode of “Insider,” Kim Yo Han rose to the top of the food chain at Seongju Prison following Jang Sun Oh (Kang Young Seok)’s departure.

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Kim Yo Han has his first encounter with a mysterious old man who turns out to be none other than Do Won Bong (Moon Sung Geun), the “Chairman Do” whose name was previously whispered inside the warden’s office. Do Won Bong was once an extremely powerful man who ruled the underground world, even holding the economy and political sphere in the palm of his hand. However, he has since been pushed off his throne.

During their first meeting, Do Won Bong startles Kim Yo Han by grabbing his arm with a serious look in his eye. Kim Yo Han gazes uncertainly back at the older man, raising the question of whether he knows who Do Won Bong is—and whether the once powerful chairman is approaching him with a threat or with benevolent concern.

Meanwhile, Oh Soo Yeon has her own unsettling encounter with Do Won Bong at a different time. The cheerful, beaming expression he wears as he first greets her suggests that the two already know each other quite well. However, the meeting soon takes an ugly turn when Do Won Bong suddenly grabs Oh Soo Yeon’s chin with a condescending smirk.

The producers of “Insider” teased, “The arrival of Do Won Bong is an important plot element that will add another layer of suspense to the story.”

They went on, “Do Won Bong is also a character with his own powerful greed. Please keep an eye on how Kim Yo Han’s game changes when Do Won Bong finally reawakens after cowering for a long time.”
