Watch: Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, And More Show Off Their Improved Combat Skills And Teamwork In "The Good Detective 2" Teaser

West Incheon Police’s violent crimes team has come back even stronger in “The Good Detective 2”!

Starring Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Elijah, the first season of “The Good Detective” was about the realistic lives of police detectives in their quest to uncover the truth and their conflicts with those who try to conceal it. In the upcoming season, Son Hyun Joo and Jang Seung Jo will reprise their roles and the good detectives of the Violent Crimes Team two will use only the truth to go up against ambitious villains who cross the line.

JTBC recently shared the first teaser for their upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “The Good Detective 2,” which begins with Kang Do Chang (Son Hyun Joo) encouraging his team. He says, “Young officers…this country believes in you.” However, he’s hilariously shot down by team leader Woo Bong Shik (Jo Hee Bong) who yells out, “You’re a middle-aged police officer!” Unbothered, Kang Do Chang responds, “I’m sorry,” teasing his upgraded old-man energy.

Kang Do Chang also continues his bromance with the “strongest partner in the universe,” Oh Ji Hyuk (Jang Seung Jo), who appears much brighter in the upcoming season.

More than anything, the key point of “The Good Detective 2” is the enthusiastic teamwork of the violent crimes team two. To continue on from the perfect chemistry they showcased in Season 1, detectives Kang Do Chang, Oh Ji Hyuk, Kwon Jae Hong (Cha Rae Hyung), Ji Man Goo (Jung Soon Won), Byun Ji Woong (Kim Ji Hoon), and Shim Dong Wook (Kim Myung Joon) will flaunt their improved teamwork as they embark on new investigations.

The producers of “The Good Detective 2” commented, “The chemistry of the violent crimes team two that shone in Season 1 will become even stronger in Season 2. The armed violent crimes team will return with upgraded skills of kkondae [an older person who is often condescending or uses their age to justify their actions], clumsiness, and combat. We will seek you out with a fun and thrilling detective drama that you can watch while laughing without a moment to be bored. We ask for lots of attention and that you look forward to it.”

“The Good Detective 2” completed filming in May and is currently in post-production. The drama premieres on July 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
