“Street Man Fighter” Confirms Premiere Date + Kang Daniel To Return As Host
Mnet has confirmed the premiere date of “Street Man Fighter” – where Kang Daniel will return as host!
Kang Daniel, who was the MC of “Street Woman Fighter” as well as its spin-off “Street Dance Girls Fighter,” will now return for the third time for “Street Man Fighter.” (While Kang Daniel did not host the “Street Man Fighter” prequel show “Be Mbitious,” he did appear in the final broadcast to announce the members of project dance crew Mbitious.)
While in these roles, Kang Daniel has earned praise that he increases the enjoyment of watching dance performances and has the ability to easily explain battle rules and dance-related information to viewers, thanks to his history as a b-boy.
Producing director (PD) Choi Jung Nam commented, “I figure that [Kang Daniel] is the perfect MC for ‘Street Man Fighter’ as a unique global artist with a strong understanding of street battles and choreography. Please watch over his chemistry with the dancers of the program.”
Kang Daniel shared, “It’s an honor to be able to greet you again as the MC of ‘Street Man Fighter.’ I will play the bridge role between the dancers and viewers of ‘Street Man Fighter,’ which will be more fun and dynamic. It’ll be good if you look forward to more fiery battles.”
“Street Man Fighter” features eight all-male dance crews, including 1MILLION, We Dem Boyz (WDBZ), Eo-Ddae, Bank Two Brothers (BⅡB), Prime Kingz, YGX, and Just Jerk. They will be joined by project dance crew Mbitious, which was formed on the “Street Man Fighter” prequel program “Be Mbitious” and includes idol crew members Lee Ho Won (Hoya) and Roh Tae Hyun.
Mnet’s fourth instalment of their street dance survival series will premiere on August 16 at 10:20 p.m. KST.
