CJ ENM Issues Brief Response To Reports About 2022 Mnet Asian Music Awards
CJ ENM has responded to reports about this year’s Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).
After being held in Korea for the past two years due to COVID-19, reports recently circulated about the 2022 MAMA being held on November 29-30 in Osaka, Japan.
In response to these reports, CJ ENM briefly commented, “We are considering various ways to hold the 2022 MAMA and nothing has been confirmed yet.”
MAMA is a global music awards show held annually by CJ ENM. It began in 1999 as Mnet’s Music Video Festival and was revamped to its current name in 2009. Since 2010, the event has been held all over Asia, including Macao, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Japan.
Due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup which is scheduled to run from late November to mid-December in Qatar, it is also possible for the 2022 MAMA to be held earlier than previous years.
