TRI.BE Cancels Schedule Ahead Of Comeback After 5 Members Test Positive For COVID-19

TRI.BE has cancelled their schedule leading up to their comeback due to five members testing positive for COVID-19.

On July 27, TR Entertainment officially announced that SongSun, Kelly, HyunBin, Jia, and MiRe had been diagnosed with COVID-19 ahead of their upcoming comeback on August 9. SoEun has tested negative for the virus, while Jinha is currently on a temporary hiatus from activities due to health concerns.

While TRI.BE’s third single “LEVIOSA” will still be released according to schedule on August 9, the group has therefore cancelled all of their upcoming scheduled activities including filming for the 2022 Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC) on August 1, the Bonghwa Sweet Fish Festival on July 30, and Jia’s birthday V Live broadcast.

TR Entertainment’s full English statement is as follows:

Hello, this is TR Entertainment.

TRI.BE members SongSun, Kelly, HyunBin, Jia, and MiRe have tested positive for COVID-19 via an immediate medical institution RAT test as of today (July 27th) after having tested positive through a preemptive self-test. Member SoEun has been confirmed to be negative.

All members have completed their third vaccinations, and the members who have tested positive do not have notable symptoms other than lightly sore throats and are mostly symptomless.

We have cancelled all upcoming schedules including the Bonghwa Sweet Fish Festival (July 30th), Jia’s birthday Vlive, [and] 2022 Idol Star Athletics Championships (August 1st), and will fully commit to the public health authorities’ regulations of quarantine and treatment.

TRI.BE’s third single “LEVIOSA” will be released on August 9th as scheduled but we vow to prioritize the treatment and health of our artists before anything else. We apologize for the concern.

Thank you.

Wishing the TRI.BE members a speedy recovery!
