“Hansan: Rising Dragon” Surpasses 2 Million Moviegoers In Just 5 Days

Just one day after hitting the 1 million mark, “Hansan: Rising Dragon” has doubled its number of tickets sold at the box office!

On August 1, the Korean Film Council announced that “Hansan: Rising Dragon” had officially surpassed 2 million moviegoers the day before. The new film drew 655,701 moviegoers to cinemas on July 31 alone, bringing its total number of moviegoers to 2,270,207.

Notably, “Hansan: Rising Dragon” managed to reach the milestone in just five days, meaning that it hit the 2 million mark faster than legendary blockbusters like “Ode to My Father,” “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” and “Masquerade.”

“Hansan: Rising Dragon,” which features a star-studded cast including Park Hae Il, 2PM’s Taecyeon, Byun Yo Han, and more, is the second film in “The Admiral: Roaring Currents” director Kim Han Min’s trilogy about battles led by the legendary general Lee Soon Shin.

Congratulations to the film’s cast and crew!
