TWICE's Nayeon Becomes 1st K-Pop Soloist In History To Spend 5 Weeks On Either Billboard 200 Or Artist 100

Over a month after her successful solo debut, TWICE’s Nayeon still isn’t done making history on the Billboard charts!

Last month, Nayeon made a historic debut on the Billboard 200 (Billboard’s commonly used name for its Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States) when her first solo mini album “IM NAYEON” entered the chart at No. 7—making her the first K-pop soloist ever to make the top 10.

For the week ending on August 6, Nayeon continued to set new records on multiple Billboard charts. The singer spent her fifth consecutive week on Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 89, making her the first K-pop soloist in history to spend five weeks on the chart.

“IM NAYEON” also charted for a fifth consecutive week on the Billboard 200, where it ranked No. 181 this week. Notably, no K-pop soloist has ever managed to spend a total of five weeks on the chart before—even when combining all of their different entries on the chart—making it all the more impressive that Nayeon has pulled off the feat with one album alone.

Additionally, “IM NAYEON” held steady at No. 7 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week, and it also swept the No. 11 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart.

Nayeon’s hit solo debut track “POP!” also stayed strong at No. 24 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 43 on the Global 200 in its fifth consecutive week on both charts.

Congratulations to Nayeon on her historic achievements!
