Super Junior’s Choi Siwon To Sit Out Of Upcoming Concert After Testing Positive For COVID-19
On August 8, Super Junior’s agency Label SJ released the following statement through their official social media:
Hello. This is Label SJ.
We are informing you of Super Junior’s Siwon testing positive for COVID-19.
Siwon received a positive result once more on the morning of August 3 through the PCR test he carried out while preparing for his scheduled activities abroad.
Therefore, we ask for the fans understanding that he will be unable to attend the concert for “Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 9 : Road in Manila,” which is scheduled for this week.
Siwon has currently halted all his scheduled activities, and he is in self-quarantine in accordance with the government health guidelines. The agency will consider the health and safety of the artist foremost, and we will diligently support Siwon’s speedy recovery.
Super Junior recently returned with their 11th full-length album “The Road : Keep on Going” with the title track “Mango” last month. Previously, Choi Siwon tested positive for COVID-19 for the first time in December 2021. After his recovery, he took to Twitter to share his return and thank the medical staff.
Wishing Choi Siwon a speedy and full recovery!
