Namgoong Min, Kim Ji Eun, And More Get Together For "One Dollar Lawyer" Script Reading

“One Dollar Lawyer” has given viewers a glimpse at the cast’s first script reading!

SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “One Dollar Lawyer” is about troublemaker lawyer Cheon Ji Hoon who is extremely skilled but only charges 1,000 won ($0.78) as his attorney’s fee. The refreshing law story follows Cheon Ji Hoon as he faces against the rich who escape the law and lawyers with expensive fees.

The drama stars Namgoong Min, Kim Ji Eun, Choi Dae Hoon, Lee Deok Hwa, Park Jin Woo, and Gong Min Jung.

Namgoong Min stars as the most cost-effective legal hero Cheon Ji Hoon who people can meet for just 1,000 won. Kim Ji Eun stars as Baek Ma Ri who is in the last stages of training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute to become a prosecutor. She is from a “royal family” among judicial circles with superb qualifications and a splendid future set out for her.

Choi Dae Hoon portrays prosecutor Seo Min Hyuk who is also from the judicial circles’ royal family. Returning to Korea after wrapping up two years of training at the Brooklyn district’s attorney office, he hopes to achieve his next life goal of marrying Baek Ma Ri and changing her family’s Law Firm Baek into Law Firm Baek&Seo.

Baek’s founder and Baek Ma Ri’s grandfather Baek Hyun Moo is played by Lee Deok Hwa. Park Jin Woo will be playing Sa Moo Jang, a legal assistant who is the John Watson to Cheon Ji Hoon’s Sherlock Holmes. Gong Min Jung plays the reliable Na Ye Jin, a self-proclaimed public prosecutor who juniors look up to.

Right after the reading, Namgoong Min shared, “This is a project I’m really looking forward to. The chemistry between the writer and the director is really great. This is a drama you can watch comfortably, laugh at, and be touched by, regardless of age and gender. I will show you a lot of my bright image.”
