Girls' Generation Doubles Their 1st-Week Sales Record With "FOREVER 1"
Girls’ Generation is soaring to new heights with their latest album!
Last week, Girls’ Generation made their long-awaited comeback as a full group for the first time in five years. After dropping their seventh studio album “FOREVER 1” and its title track of the same name online on August 5, the group released the physical version of the album three days later, on August 8.
According to Hanteo Chart, “FOREVER 1” sold over 100,000 copies on August 8 alone, breaking Girls’ Generation’s previous first-week sales record of 90,217 (set by their 2017 album “Holiday Night“) within just its first day of sales.
Hanteo Chart has now reported that “FOREVER 1” went on to sell an impressive total of 186,687 copies in the first week of its release (August 8 to 14), more than doubling Girls’ Generation’s personal record from five years ago.
Congratulations to Girls’ Generation on their successful comeback!
