Watch: NewJeans Takes 1st-Ever Win With "Attention" On "M Countdown"

NewJeans has taken their first-ever music show win on “M Countdown”!

On the August 18 broadcast of Mnet’s “M Countdown,” the first place nominees were “Attention” by NewJeans and “FOREVER 1” by Girls’ Generation. Ultimately, NewJeans was able to win their very first music show trophy with “Attention”!

This week’s episode was a summer special with no live broadcast, so NewJeans shared their acceptance speech in a video.

Hanni shared, “Thank you so much for allowing us to receive so much love right from our debut. We feel so, so happy that we’ve won first place!” Leader Minji added, “We really want to say thank you to our CEO Min Hee Jin, who worked hard for us to debut, and our ADOR [company] members. We also want to thank all our staff members.”

Danielle continued, “We feel so happy to receive such an honorable award and we want to convey our sincere gratitude to our fans.” Hyein commented, “Also, we really want to say thank you to the ‘M Countdown’ producers who have filmed us so prettily. We will become a NewJeans that always works hard so that we can respond to the love and support you give us.”
