Brand New Music Responds To Past Photo Of YOUNITE's Hyunseung + To Take Legal Action

Brand New Music has released a statement regarding a past photo of YOUNITE’s Hyunseung that has recently resurfaced.

On August 18, an old photo of Hyunseung was uploaded to an online community that shows him with a sticker filter of TWICE’s Chaeyoung. The sticker of Chaeyoung sits above his head and shows Hyunseung looking up at her. The phrase used in the caption is Korean slang taken from the Japanese expression “I feel good,” but is often used to allude to pornography.

In response to the photo, Brand New Music announced that the photo had been maliciously edited and that they would be taking legal action on behalf of their agency artist.

Their full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is Brand New Music.

We’ve confirmed that the image of our agency artist currently circulating social media was maliciously edited.

As a result, we plan to take strong legal action for the spread of false information, defamation, personal attacks, insults, and malicious slander against our agency artist. If you find related instances, please refer to the bottom for mailing steps and send information to bnmusic2011@gmail.com.

We thank fans for their endless love and support and request your active cooperation.

Brand New Music will continue to work to no end to protect the interests of our agency artists in the future too.

Thank you.
