Jeon So Nee, Goo Kyo Hwan, And Lee Jung Hyun To Star In New Drama Based On Legendary Manga Series "Parasyte"
It’s official: Jeon So Nee, Goo Kyo Hwan, and Lee Jung Hyun will all be starring in the upcoming Netflix series “Parasyte: The Grey”!
“Parasyte: The Grey” is based on the universe of the legendary manga series “Parasyte,” though it will tell a new story of its own. The drama will follow the events that unfold when mysterious parasitic life-forms fall to Earth from outer space and attempt to gain power by living off of human hosts. As they begin to disrupt society, a group of humans band together to wage war against the rising evil.
The upcoming series will be helmed by Yeon Sang Ho, the director of the iconic zombie film “Train to Busan” and the hit Netflix series “Hellbound,” who will also be penning the script together with “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” writer Ryu Yong Jae.
Notably, both Goo Kyo Hwan and Lee Jung Hyun previously worked with Yeon Sang Ho on “Peninsula,” the 2020 sequel to “Train to Busan.”
Jeon So Nee will star in “Parasyte: The Grey” as Jung Soo In, a woman who falls victim to one of the mysterious parasites. However, when it fails to take over her brain, she unexpectedly begins a bizarre coexistence with it.
Goo Kyo Hwan will play the role of Seol Kang Woo, who is on a quest to track down parasites in order to find his missing sister.
Meanwhile, Lee Jung Hyun will play Choi Joon Kyung, the leader of Team Grey—a task force dedicated to battling parasites. After losing her husband to a parasite, her determination to destroy these invasive life-forms is the only thing keeping her alive.
