KQ Entertainment Gives Update On Legal Action Against Invasion Of ATEEZ's Privacy

On August 26, KQ Entertainment shared a statement to update fans on the legal action the agency is taking to protect their artists.

The official statement reads:

Hello. This is KQ Entertainment.

As notified, the agency has taken legal action regarding ATEEZ’s privacy invasion case.

The defendant asked for leniency, but the company has not agreed to any leniency or settlement to prevent further damage and set a precedent for those who think of downplaying privacy violation offenses.

The defendant has been found guilty under the Protection and Use of the Location Information Act. We wan to inform you that the company will file an additional civil suit against the accused for other offenses.

In the future, please continue to refrain from trying to find or track the artists’ personal information and non-official scheduled activities.

Once again, we would like to thank the fans for their continuous love and support to our artists.

In October of last year, KQ Entertainment revealed that a location tracking device was discovered on a vehicle used for ATEEZ’s activities and warned that strong legal action will be taken against the culprit who planted the device. The agency also recently took legal action in response to a malicious video posted about ATEEZ.
