Kim Hye Soo Is Both A Warm Mother And Dignified Queen In “The Queen’s Umbrella” Posters
“The Queen’s Umbrella” follows the conflict that ensues within the palace while trying to educate the troublemaker princes, who cause nothing but headaches for the royal family, and make them into proper crown princes. While focusing on the special palace education system of the top one percent of the Joseon Dynasty, the drama will also draw out a touching and relatable story highlighting the passion of mothers.
On September 1, “The Queen’s Umbrella” shared two new posters featuring Kim Hye Soo as queen Im Hwa Ryung, the mother of the troublemaker princes and the wife of a great king. Looking after her troublesome sons all these years has caused Im Hwa Ryung to lose her dignity and she is merely known for being quick on her feet. Every day of her life is full of trials, but she withstands it all for the sake of her children.
In the first poster, Im Hwa Ryung and her young son are facing each other in the heavy rainfall. Despite the terrible weather, Im Hwa Ryung covers her son with an umbrella while she gets soaked by the heavy rain, showing a mother’s infinite love and unconditional sacrifice. The majestic scenery of the palace hints that enormous trials and adversities will unfold here, and it will be intriguing to see what lengths Im Hwa Ryung will go to protect her children.
Unlike the first poster that contains the warmth of Im Hwa Ryung, the second poster shows her determined will. Her strong eyes and elegant figure clearly express her firm charisma as the nation’s queen. On top of that, Kim Hye Soo’s unique atmosphere completes her overwhelming beauty, and drama fans are looking forward to her new transformation.
“The Queen’s Umbrella” is set to premiere this October.
