BLACKPINK's "Shut Down" Takes No. 1; Soompi's K-Pop Music Chart 2022, October Week 1
BLACKPINK’s “Shut Down” debuts at No. 1 this week with a perfect score. Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
“Shut Down” is the title track of BLACKPINK’s second studio album “BORN PINK.” It is a trendy hip hop song that samples classical composer Paganini’s “La Campanella,” creating a stunning combination of classical music with hip hop beats.
Moving up six spots to No. 2 is NCT 127’s “2 Baddies.” Down two spots to round out the top three is IVE’s “After LIKE,” which previously topped the chart for three weeks.
There is one more new song in the top 10 this week. Debuting at No. 7 is NMIXX’s “DICE,” the title track from their second single album “ENTWURF.” Meshing elements of hip hop, jazz, trap, and pop, “DICE” compares NMIXX’s adventure of moving forward against the interference from adversaries to a game.
