BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" Becomes Longest-Charting K-Pop Group Song Of 2022 On Billboard's Hot 100

BLACKPINK’s hit single “Pink Venom” is still going strong on Billboard’s Hot 100!

For the week ending on October 8, “Pink Venom” stayed strong at No. 87 on Billboard’s Hot 100 (its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States), marking its sixth consecutive week on the chart.

With this latest achievement, “Pink Venom” has now become the first K-pop group song released in 2022 to spend six weeks on the chart.

Meanwhile, after debuting at No. 25 last week, BLACKPINK’s new title track “Shut Down” also spent a second consecutive week on the Hot 100 at No. 67.

Outside of the Hot 100, BLACKPINK landed no less than seven songs on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart this week. “Shut Down” held relatively steady at No. 3, followed by “Pink Venom” at No. 6, “Typa Girl” at No. 54, “Hard to Love” at No. 106, “The Happiest Girl” at No. 146, “Tally” at No. 183, and “Yeah Yeah Yeah” at No. 186.

BLACKPINK also charted a total of four songs on this week’s Global 200, where “Shut Down” ranked No. 3, “Pink Venom” No. 10, “Typa Girl” No. 75, and “Hard to Love” No. 156. Additionally, “Pink Venom” re-entered the World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 7, while “Shut Down” trailed close behind at No. 8.

As for BLACKPINK’s latest album, “BORN PINK” enjoyed a strong second week on the Billboard charts as well. “BORN PINK” ranked No. 4 in its second week on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart (its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States), making it the first album by a female K-pop artist ever to spend two weeks in the top five of the Billboard 200.

“BORN PINK” also remained No. 1 on the Tastemaker Albums chart for a second week, in addition to sweeping the No. 2 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart.

Finally, BLACKPINK charted at No. 5 on this week’s Artist 100, marking their 28th non-consecutive week on the chart.
