BTOB's Yook Sungjae Is Unrecognizable When He Returns From The U.S. In "The Golden Spoon"

BTOB’s Yook Sungjae will make a drastic transformation in the upcoming episode of “The Golden Spoon”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “The Golden Spoon” is a drama about a student born into a poor family who uses a magical golden spoon to swap fates with a friend born into a wealthy family. Yook Sungjae stars as Lee Seung Chun, the student who hopes to turn his life around with the titular golden spoon, while Lee Jong Won plays Hwang Tae Yong, the privileged friend whose life Lee Seung Chun covets.

After consistently butting heads with his father Hwang Hyun Do (played by Choi Won Young), Lee Seung Chun was punished by being sent off to the United States. Last week’s broadcast of “The Golden Spoon” ended dramatically with Hwang Tae Yong stumbling across someone with wild style sleeping on the street. Surprisingly, that person turned out to be none other than Lee Seung Chun, who has returned from the United States as a completely different person!

In the new stills, Lee Seung Chun is shown with a completely new style, shedding his school uniform and typical dandy look for a bold hairstyle and a chaotic new closet. Not only has Lee Seung Chun transformed physically, but his attitude has also undergone dramatic changes, confusing those around him. In one moment, Lee Seung Chun lives an indulgent life without a care in the world, but looks very stern in the next as he participates in a serious business meeting. Why is his behavior so erratic and what are Lee Seung Chun’s true intentions now?

Lee Seung Chun has most definitely paid the price for utilizing the magical “golden spoon,” but now that he’s returned to his privileged lifestyle, he is that much more money hungry. Stay tuned to see what kind of twists Lee Seung Chun will face and how his life will continue to unfold.

The producers of “The Golden Spoon” explained, “Although he experienced a wide variety of happenings after changing his life with the golden spoon, Lee Seung Chun once again chooses the life of ‘the golden spoon.’ Lee Seung Chun’s upcoming 10 years will present an interesting development that is unpredictable and different from what you’ve seen so far.”
