Former GFRIEND Member Kim Sowon Signs With OUI Entertainment + Changes Stage Name

Former GFRIEND member Kim Sowon has signed with a new agency and changed her stage name!

On November 15, OUI Entertainment announced that they had signed an exclusive contract with Kim So Jung (Sowon), who will now use the stage name Kim Sowon.

The star debuted as GFRIEND’s Sowon in 2015. After GFRIEND’s disbandment in May 2021, Kim Sowon signed with IOK Company as an actress and officially changed her stage name to her birth name Kim So Jung.

Kim Sowon parted ways with IOK Company this past September and has newly signed with OUI Entertainment. With this new start, Kim Sowon will use her charming visuals and bright energy to showcase her colorful acting spectrum through a wide variety of genres.

OUI Entertainment’s president Wi Myung Hee commented, “I’m happy to join Kim Sowon’s new start. I plan to fully support Kim Sowon so that she can unleash her diverse capabilities as an actress. I ask for lots of support for and interest in the activities of Kim Sowon, who will leap even higher in the future.”
