Sooyoung Speaks Affectionately About Her New Drama "Fanletter, Please" + Girls' Generation's "FOREVER 1" Comeback

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung flaunt her soft and cool charms in a new pictorial with Elle magazine!

Following her casually styled photo shoot, Sooyoung spoke about ending the year with her new drama “Fanletter, Please.” She commented, “Including Girls’ Generation’s promotions this year, I had a lot of opportunities to communicate with fans, so now that I’ve come to present a fan-related project, it feels like I’ve put together the last piece of the puzzle.”

Sooyoung added, “In the drama, [my character] top actress Han Kang Hee was the character who I felt the most familiar with. There were a lot of points where I deeply understood what she was thinking about while speaking, her expressions, and her emotions. I also tried to mix in the down-to-earth aspects that I have.”

This past August, Girls’ Generation made their long-awaited comeback with “FOREVER 1” to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary. Sooyoung sweetly shared, “I was thrilled that our sincerity was conveyed and I felt ecstatic for the first time in awhile. We went on stage for our ‘FOREVER 1’ performances with the thought of ‘let’s always stand right here, like this.’ Fascinatingly, when I see comments that say ‘it feels like they’re telling us that they will never change and will always be here,’ I get emotional because it’s like they’re recognizing how we feel.”

The final two episodes of “Fanletter, Please” will air on November 25 and 26 at 9:50 p.m. KST. Sooyoung’s full interview with Elle will be available in the magazine’s upcoming December issue.
