Park Soo Hong Announces Plans For Wedding 1 Year And 5 Months After Registering Marriage + To Star On MBN Talk Show With His Wife

Comedian Park Soo Hong will be holding his wedding ceremony a year and five months after registering his marriage.

On November 23, it was reported that Park Soo Hong will be holding a wedding ceremony with his wife Kim Da Ye on December 23 in Seoul. The two registered their marriage back in July 2021, and their marriage has been legally recognized since then. However, due to COVID-19 and a conflict that occurred between Park Soo Hong and his family, they were not able to hold an official wedding ceremony.

Before their wedding, Park Soo Hong and his wife will be appearing on MBN’s talk show “Dongchimi” (romanized title). A source from MBN revealed, “Park Soo Hong will be holding his wedding next month on [December] 23. On December 22, he will participate in the filming for ‘Dongchimi’ with his wife. Before his marriage, he wants to greet the adults of ‘Dongchimi,’ so he will make an appearance with his wife.” The comedian has been hosting the MBN talk show, and he and Kim Da Ye are expected to share stories about married life amongst other topics.

Back in October, Park Soo Hong also commented on his upcoming wedding ceremony during MBC’s “Radio Star,” saying, “My wife and I only completed our marriage registration, but due to various reasons, we still haven’t been able to have a wedding. We are preparing to have our wedding soon.”

The wedding will be held privately and will only be attended by a few acquaintances of Park Soo Hong per his request. The comedian’s family will not be in attendance due to current legal disputes with Park Soo Hong’s brother and sister-in-law as well as discord with his father.

Previously in April 2021, Park Soo Hong filed a criminal complaint against his brother and his brother’s wife who had worked as his manager for 30 years, claiming that the two embezzled company money while breaking their promise to properly distribute the profits. He also filed a lawsuit for damages worth a total of 11.6 billion won (approximately $8.7 million).

Regarding the absence of his parents at the wedding, Park Soo Hong commented, “It’s quite heartbreaking, but it is something that I’ll work through gradually.”
