Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung And Kim Sung Joo To Host 2022 MBC Drama Awards
The 2022 MBC Drama Awards has announced its MCs!
On December 7, MBC confirmed that Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Kim Sung Joo would be hosting the upcoming year-end award ceremony.
Kim Sung Joo, who will be returning as MC of the MBC Drama Awards for the fourth consecutive year, remarked, “I’m grateful and honored to be able to wrap up the year together with the actors that lit up MBC this year and delivered lots of entertainment and touching emotions.”
“I will work hard as an MC so that these moments in which the viewers and actors share their joy together can shine even more brightly,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Sooyoung will be returning as MC after previously hosting the MBC Drama Awards back in 2014. The Girls’ Generation member commented, “I feel emotional becoming the MC of the [MBC] Drama Awards again after eight years. Because I both appeared in MBC’s drama ‘Fanletter, Please‘ and promoted together with Girls’ Generation this year, I think it will be even more meaningful to be able to end the year 2022 as an MC of the [MBC] Drama Awards.”
She went on to add, “I will do my utmost so that the awards can touch the hearts of all the actors and staff who worked hard to create dramas this year.”
The 2022 MBC Drama Awards will air on December 30.
