Park Ju Hyun and Choi Duk Moon Make An Amusing Comical Duo In "The Forbidden Marriage"

“The Forbidden Marriage” has shared a preview of the delightful chemistry between Park Ju Hyun and Choi Duk Moon!

Based on the web novel of the same name, “The Forbidden Marriage” stars Kim Young Dae as King Yi Heon, who falls deep into despair after the death of his wife and ends up prohibiting marriage in his kingdom. Seven years after the loss of his wife (played by IZ*ONE’s Kim Min Ju), who was then the crown princess, he comes across a con artist named So Rang (Park Ju Hyun) who claims that she can be possessed by the late princess’ spirit.

In the premiere episode, So Rang teams up with Gwaeng Yi (Choi Duk Moon) to set up “Aedaldang,” a tea house where the two will give advice to young men and women on love. With So Rang’s way with words and Gwaeng Yi’s magical spirit, Aedaldang will turn Hanyang, the capital city of the Joseon dynasty, upside down.

In the released stills, So Rang’s eloquence and charming talks have already proven successful in capturing those who came to receive her love advice. With a fiery spirit in her eyes, she excitedly hands out pamphlets promoting Aedaldang and directs guests to different rooms with a bright smile.

In other photos, viewers can already guess the amusing chemistry between So Rang and Gwaeng Yi as he’s seen pulling her ears while they bicker on the street. According to the production team, So Rang and Gwaeng Yi’s humorous chemistry leads the drama in a more entertaining direction and offers comical happenings along the way.

The production team of “The Forbidden Marriage” commented, “So Rang and Gwaeng Yi step up to spark love that won’t be able to be shut down even by law, between young men and women even in the era where marriage is forbidden. Please look forward to the synergy that So Rang and Gwaeng Yi will show in the drama.”

“The Forbidden Marriage” premieres on December 9 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
