Lee Jae Wook Tenderly Takes Care Of An Unconscious Go Yoon Jung In "Alchemy Of Souls Part 2"

Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung will get even closer on the next episode of “Alchemy of Souls Part 2”!

Penned by the famous screenwriting duo known as the Hong Sisters, “Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama set in the fictional nation of Daeho, a country that does not exist in history or on maps. The drama tells the story of characters whose fates become twisted due to magic that swaps people’s souls.

After Part 1 of the drama stole viewers’ hearts this past summer, “Alchemy of Souls” returned last night with Part 2, which is set three years after the end of Part 1.

On the first episode of “Alchemy of Souls Part 2,” Jang Wook (Lee Jae Wook) and Jin Bu Yeon (Go Yoon Jung) shared an eventful first meeting. Jin Bu Yeon was able to spot the ice stone inside of Jang Wook that no one else could see, and as she was in desperate need of a husband to get her out of Jinyowon, she boldly proposed marriage to him. The episode ended with Jang Wook helping Jin Bu Yeon escape on the day of her wedding, leaving viewers wondering where the couple’s budding romance would take them next.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming second episode, a pallid Jin Bu Yeon lies unconscious in bed while a worried Jang Wook remains by her side. The lively, cheerful Jin Bu Yeon who greeted Jang Wook by calling him “husband” is nowhere to be found, and Jang Wook is unable to hide his concern as he tries to nurse her back to health. Refusing to leave her side for a single second, Jang Wook holds her in his arms and pours alcohol between her lips in an attempt to wake her up.

The producers of “Alchemy of Souls” teased, “Jang Wook and Jin Bu Yeon have forged a fateful relationship in which they need one another: [Jang Wook needs Jin Bu Yeon] for removing the ice stone, while [Jin Bu Yeon needs Jang Wook] to escape Jinyowon. In Episode 2, which airs today, their feelings for one another will grow within this situation.”

The next episode of “Alchemy of Souls Part 2” will air on December 11 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
