Lee Jae Wook Is Shocked When His Yin-Yang Jade Glows For 1st Time In 3 Years In

After three years, Lee Jae Wook’s red jade will finally light up again!

Set in the fictional nation of Daeho, “Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama about people whose fates become twisted due to magic that swaps people’s souls. After Part 1 of the drama stole viewers’ hearts this past summer, “Alchemy of Souls” returned last week with Part 2, which is set three years after the end of Part 1.

Spoilers

At the end of the previous episode of “Alchemy of Souls Part 2,” Jang Wook (Lee Jae Wook) made viewers’ heart skip a beat with his dramatic announcement that Jin Bu Yeon (Go Yoon Jung) could not become the heir of Jinyowon, because “Jin Bu Yeon is already married to Jang Wook of the Jang family.”

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming third episode, Jang Wook is shocked by an unexpected new development. While getting dressed, Jang Wook suddenly senses a strange burst of energy, and he realizes that the yin-yang jade that once linked him to his now-deceased love is glowing for the first time in three years.

As the other half of the jade—the blue stone that Jang Wook gifted Nak Soo in Part 1—was buried along with her in her grave, Jang Wook is unable to believe his eyes as he sees his red jade glowing again after three long years.

“The yin-yang jade, which has been asleep for three years, will reawaken,” teased the producers of “Alchemy of Souls.” “Please tune in to find out whether Nak Soo’s soul is calling Jang Wook from the grave through the jade—or if it’s a third party that has poured energy into the blue jade.”

To find out what has set the yin-yang jade aglow after all this time, catch the next episode of “Alchemy of Souls Part 2” on December 17 at 9:10 p.m. KST!
