Watch: Cha Tae Hyun And Jung Yong Hwa Go From Enemies To Partners Solving A Crime Case In "Brain Works" Teaser
“Brain Works” has dropped an explosive preview for Episode 1!
KBS2’s “Brain Works” is a brain science-themed comedy-mystery drama about two men who can’t stand each other but who must work together to solve a crime case involving a rare brain disease. CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa will play Shin Ha Ru, a brain scientist who possesses a very “extraordinary brain,” having everything except humanity. Cha Tae Hyun plays Geum Myung Se, a very nice and considerate detective with an “altruistic brain.”
In just a 37-second teaser, Shin Ha Ru and Geum Myung Se’s wild and comedic teamwork is captured, leaving viewers wanting more. The clip begins with Shin Ha Run proudly giving a lecture to a large audience, while Geum Myung Se says of him, “He’s a psycho expert.”
Their bitter relationship worsens when Geum Myung Se casually comments, “Hey, don’t worry. No matter what, he’s a criminal.” Later, Shin Ha Ru intensely goes after him, much to Geum Myung Se’s surprise. Their teamwork continues deteriorating when Geum Myung Se gets attacked by a large group of people and Shin Ha Ru chooses to watch in horror rather than help out. After he escapes, Geum Myung Se shows Shin Ha Ru his bloody nose and later announces, “I cannot cooperate with this person.”
However, the pair is forced to put their differences aside once they get more involved in a serious crime case. Making a crucial realization, Shin Ha Ru remarks, “That girl…likely isn’t the culprit.” He continues, “It appears that something unusual is happening.” Geum Myung Se then firmly responds, “That does not justify murder.”
By the end of the teaser, the two are finally on the same page as they rush to take down a criminal. Shin Ha Ru comments, “We have to go catch them. The criminal.”

In January 2023, please wait for ‘Brain Works,’ which will instantly fascinate viewers who have anxiously been awaiting the birth of a new investigation drama.”
KBS2’s “Brain Works” will premiere on January 2, 2023, at 9:50 p.m. KST.
