"Idol Star Athletics Championships" Will Not Be Held For 2023 Lunar New Year

There will be no “Idol Star Athletics Championships” (ISAC) this Lunar New Year.

On January 6, MBC officially announced, “We are not preparing an ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships’ for this Lunar New Year holiday.”

After its launch as a Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) special in 2010, the “Idol Star Athletics Championships” typically aired twice a year—once during the Lunar New Year holiday in the winter and once during the Chuseok holiday in the fall. However, the program took a three-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic before finally returning for Chuseok 2022 this past September.
