Watch: Main Vocalist Of Boy Group Steals Hearts With His Voice On "The King Of Mask Singer"

On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the masked singer “Silver Rabbit” wowed the audience with his vocals!

During the January 8 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, a new batch of contestants took the stage in their quest to challenge the reigning champion.

In the second match-up of Round 1, “Silver Rabbit” and “Gold Rabbit” went head-to-head as they performed a duet version of Lee Juck’s “Would You Like to Walk with Me?”

After their performance, many of the celebrity panelists expressed their admiration for Silver Rabbit as they attempted to figure out his identity.

Praising Silver Rabbit’s emotional singing, Yoon Sang commented, “Silver Rabbit really interpreted the song in his own unique way, so when I had to pick the singer I wanted to hear again in the next round, I had no choice but to vote for Silver Rabbit.”

Shin Bong Sun chimed in that she had also voted for Silver Rabbit, noting, “Silver Rabbit has an extremely delicate [vocal style].”

Go Young Bae said that he thought Silver Rabbit’s voice sounded a bit like that of BTOB‘s Yook Sungjae, but the other panelists disagreed, shutting his theory down immediately.

To help the panelists guess their identities, the “two rabbits” then teamed up for a brief dance performance to show off their moves.

Although Silver Rabbit had stolen many of the panelists’ hearts, it was Gold Rabbit that ultimately won the round.

Silver Rabbit went on to perform a soulful rendition of Ha Dong Kyun and Lee Jung’s “I Will Wait,” taking off his mask halfway through the song to reveal his identity.

To the audience’s delight, Silver Rabbit turned out to be none other than CIX’s main vocalist Seunghun.

After his solo performance, panelist Lee Jung playfully expressed his satisfaction with Seunghun’s choice of song, and Seunghun confessed, “Starting all the way from Round 1, I was so nervous because I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that I’d be singing [Lee Jung’s song] in front of Lee Jung.”

Host Kim Sung Joo then pointed out that Seunghun, who famously trained at YG Entertainment for nearly a decade and competed on the survival show “YG Treasure Box” alongside his bandmate BX, had been a trainee for nine years before finally debuting with CIX.

“I first became a trainee in fourth grade of elementary school,” shared Seunghun. “There were many moments when I wanted to give up, but my mom’s dream was to become a singer. She had to give up her dream of becoming a singer because of her family’s hardships, but starting from when she was pregnant with me, she dreamed of raising me to become a singer. So it was both my dream and my mom’s dream, and I think that’s why I didn’t give up.”
