2PM's Chansung Confirmed To Star In Short Film For Global Project

Actor and 2PM member Chansung will be playing the lead role in director Kang Yoon Sung’s new film!

According to his agency L’ July Entertainment, Chansung was cast in the short film “Hong Kong Within Me,” which is the Korean version of the global project “Hong Kong in the Lens.”

Provided by CJ ENM Hong Kong and supported by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, “Hong Kong in the Lens” is a global project where national directors from Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines will each make a short film with the motif of Hong Kong. From Korea, Director Kang Yoon Sung, who helmed “The Outlaws,” “Long Live the King,” and “Casino,” will be in charge of scriptwriting as well as directing the short film.

L’ July Entertainment CEO Lee Joo Rae remarked, “The global recognition and influence that Chansung has gained so far through 2PM’s activities as well as his realistic and diverse acting skills that he showcased through the dramas ‘My Horrible Boss,’ ‘Queen for Seven Days,’ and ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim‘ are the reasons he was cast as the male lead for this project.”

The short films for the global project “Hong Kong in the Lens” will be released on channels across Asia in 2023.
