Watch: Park Ju Hyun, Kim Woo Seok, And More Power Through Stunts And Cold Weather While Filming “The Forbidden Marriage”
“The Forbidden Marriage” has released a behind-the-scenes look at Episode 10!
Based on the web novel of the same name, MBC’s “The Forbidden Marriage” is a romance drama starring Kim Young Dae as King Yi Heon, who falls deep into despair after the death of his wife (played by Kim Min Ju) and ends up prohibiting marriage in his kingdom. Seven years after the loss of his wife, who was then the crown princess, he comes across a con artist named So Rang (Park Ju Hyun) who claims that she can be possessed by the late princess’ spirit.
The clip starts with an impressive stunt scene by Park Ju Hyun. As she prepares to fall onto a pile of mats, a staff member jokingly tells her to pretend they’re mattresses. Park Ju Hyun makes everyone laugh as she retorts, “They’re hard!” Despite her efforts to perfect the scene, she must try again when a staff member accidentally gets caught in the frame.
To describe the feeling of falling, Park Ju Hyun explains, “Should I say it feels like Gyro Drop?,” referring to a free-fall amusement park ride in Korea. She adds, “The moment I fall, [everything] flashes before my eyes.”
After, Park Ju Hyun films an emotional scene with Kim Woo Seok. Contrary to all the sad emotion she must portray while filming, in between takes, Park Ju Hyun excitedly talks about how fun it is to go camping when it’s snowing heavily.
The two are later joined by Jo Soo Min, who plays Hwa Yoon. Despite the scene proceeding smoothly, the director suddenly stops them as Park Ju Hyun’s breath is too visible in the cold air. Although they must try again, this moment proves the actors’ professionalism as they film seamlessly in such cold weather.
