Kim Ok Bin, Yoo Tae Oh, Kim Ji Hoon, And Go Won Hee Describe Their Characters’ Charms In New Rom-Com “Love To Hate You”
“Love to Hate You” has previewed its cast’s charms with a new batch of stills!
Upcoming Netflix series “Love to Hate You” is a romantic comedy following a war-like romance between a woman who desperately hates losing to men, and a man who is extremely suspicious of women, that kicks off their joint healing journey.
Kim Ok Bin stars as Yeo Mi Ran, a lawyer who’s been let down by men all throughout her life, including her father, ex-boyfriend, and co-worker. As someone who detests the saying that women need to be protected by men, Yeo Mi Ran does everything in her power to become stronger in her career, but also in racing and martial arts to become her own bodyguard. The actress shared love for her new role, explaining that she was drawn to Yeo Mi Ran because of their similarities.
When Yeo Mi Ran moves to a law firm in charge of celebrity litigation, she meets top star Nam Kang Ho, who is played by Yoo Tae Oh. After studying abroad, Nam Kang Ho returns to Korea and debuts as an actor. He quickly skyrockets to success and cements his spot at the top with his shining good looks, smarts, donations, and good deeds. Although he’s considered the best romance actor, Nam Kang Ho has developed a distaste for women due to childhood trauma and thus prefers starring in action roles. Despite that, Yoo Tae Oh still teased the drama’s love story by saying, “If there’s something I have in common with Nam Kang Ho, it’s that we’re both good at romance acting.”
Kim Ji Hoon plays Nam Kang Ho’s best friend Do Won Joon, whose good looks help him debut as an actor too. However, he quickly realizes his lack of talent and changes career paths, eventually becoming the chairman of Nam Kang Ho’s agency. Kim Ji Hoon commented, “The down-to-earth side of Won Joon that contrasts his extravagant looks is his biggest charm.”
Yeo Mi Ran’s best friend is Shin Na Eun (Go Won Hee), who Yeo Mi Ran’s ex-boyfriend was cheating on her with. Once the two women realize they’ve been fooled, Yeo Mi Ran’s casual response captivates Shin Na Eun, leading to their strong friendship. Unlike Yeo Mi Ran, Shin Na Eun has a soft heart and easily disarms herself when faced with a handsome man. Go Won Hee chose Shin Na Eun’s honesty as her charm and shared, “Like a glass jar where you can clearly see what’s inside, the emotions that popped out even when she tried to hide it were cute.”
“Love to Hate You” will be released on February 10.
