5 UP10TION Members And Lee Jin Hyuk Leave TOP Media + UP10TION To Continue As 7 Members
Five UP10TION members and Lee Jin Hyuk will be parting ways with TOP Media.
On February 28, TOP Media released the following statement:
Hello. This is TOP Media.
We sincerely express our gratitude to fans who love UP10TION.
The exclusive contracts of UP10TION members Kuhn, Kogyeol, Bitto, Sunyoul, and Gyujin, who have been with the agency since their debut in September 2015, will expire on March 11.
The agency has carefully discussed with the members over a long period of time, and we mutually agreed to terminate their contracts upon the expiration of the exclusive contracts.
However, all the members have deep affection for UP10TION, so UP10TION will remain as is with the current seven members. We have agreed to support UP10TION activities in the case that they promote as UP10TION in the future.
We deliver our sincere gratitude to the members who we have matured together with over a long period of time, and we will cheer them on so that they promote as great artists going forward.
We once again sincerely thank fans who have wholeheartedly supported Kuhn, Kogyeol, Bitto, Sunyoul, and Gyujin until now.
TOP Media also released the following separate statement regarding Lee Jin Hyuk.

First, we express our sincere gratitude to fans who love Lee Jin Hyuk.
We inform you that our exclusive contract with Lee Jin Hyuk, who has worked with us for a long period of time, will expire on March 11.
After careful discussion with Lee Jin Hyuk over a long period of time, we have mutually agreed to terminate our contract following the expiration of the exclusive contract.
We express our sincere gratitude to Lee Jin Hyuk, who worked earnestly and shined without change no matter his title from trainee Lee Sung Joon (Lee Jin Hyuk’s real name) to UP10TION’s Wei and solo artist Lee Jin Hyuk. We will cheer him on so that he can be active as a great artist and actor going forward.
We once again thank fans who have wholeheartedly supported Lee Jin Hyuk until now.
UP10TION debuted in September 2015 as a 10-membered group consisting of members Kuhn, Kogyeol, Bitto, Sunyoul, Gyujin, Jinhoo, Lee Hwan Hee, Kim Dong Yeol, Kim Woo Seok, and Lee Jin Hyuk. After appearing on “Produce X 101,” Lee Jin Hyuk and Kim Woo Seok started their paths as solo artists, and UP10TION promoted as eight until member Jinhoo went on hiatus. Currently, Lee Dong Yeol and Lee Hwan Hee are starring on Mnet’s newest idol survival program “Boys Planet.”
