Kim Min Kyu Gets Flirty On A Dating Show In "The Heavenly Idol"

Get ready to see a flirtatious new side of Kim Min Kyu’s character on tvN’s “The Heavenly Idol”!

Based on a popular webtoon and web novel, “The Heavenly Idol” is a fantasy drama starring Kim Min Kyu as High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly wakes up one day to find himself in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the unsuccessful idol group Wild Animal.

Previously on “The Heavenly Idol,” Rembrary gained lots of new fans on the competition program “Sing Survival,” where he wowed the audience with his singing skills.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Rembrary ventures out onto a variety show of another kind: a dating reality show. On the program, Rembrary gets unexpectedly flirty, boldly leaning over a table and propping himself up on one arm with a playful, teasing smile.

However, to everyone’s surprise, the target of Rembrary’s attention isn’t a female contestant, but one of the male contestants he’s supposed to be battling as a romantic rival. While Rembary unabashedly dials up the charm, the male contestant he’s flirting with can’t hide his confusion as he gets caught off guard by the idol’s relentless advances.

The producers of “The Heavenly Idol” commented, “In the story, Kim Min Kyu will appear on a dating reality show after his experience on a survival competition program.”

They went on to tease, “High Priest Kim Min Kyu’s unpredictable flirting will lead to an unexpected twist in the results of the dating reality show. The episode will bring endless laughter, so please look forward it.”

The next episode of “The Heavenly Idol” will air on March 8 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
