Lee Sun Bin Confirmed For New Film Set On Jeju Island

Lee Sun Bin will be starring in a new film!

On March 13, it was confirmed that Lee Sun Bin will be starring in “Sumbisori” (romanized title). “Sumbisori” refers to the sound that a haenyeo (female diver that harvests sea life for a living) makes after resurfacing from underwater. The film follows the heartwarming story of three generation of women including a mother and daughter, who have lived their entire lives as haenyeos, and a granddaughter.

Lee Sun Bin will be playing the role of granddaughter Goo Hae Jin, portraying the struggles of youth while dynamically expressing the relationship between the three women.

The entire project was filmed on Jeju Island, capturing the breathtaking scenery of the island as well as the lives of haenyeos.
