Kim Min Kyu Is A Rising Idol Who Puts On A Winning Smile For The Cameras In "The Heavenly Idol"

“The Heavenly Idol” released new stills of Kim Min Kyu on his way to becoming a successful idol!

Based on a popular webtoon and web novel, “The Heavenly Idol” is a tvN fantasy drama starring Kim Min Kyu as High Priest Rembrary, who suddenly wakes up one day to find himself in the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the unsuccessful idol group Wild Animal.

Previously, Woo Yeon Woo captivated audiences with his impressive vocals on a music competition program, and he also charmed female contestants of a dating battle variety show with his flirting skills. As his popularity increases with each passing day, Woo Yeon Woo even lands an opportunity to model for an advertisment.

The newly released stills capture Woo Yeon Woo taking on his first modeling job for a candy advertisement along with actor Maeng Woo Shin (Kim Seo Ha). In the stills, Woo Yeon Woo transforms into an angel with his white suit and large, fluffy wings. Although filming an advertisement is a sign of great success for an idol, Woo Yeon Woo himself appears to still be in disbelief over the situation while wearing a disgruntled expression.

Nevertheless, Woo Yeon Woo quickly puts on his winning idol smile. As Maeng Woo Shin carries Woo Yeon Woo in his arms, Woo Yeon Woo lights up the room with a bright smile that is sure to make fans want to pull out their wallets.

More stills also preview Wild Animal’s exciting comeback stage. For their new song, the Wild Animal members are fitted in a trendy and modern take of dopo (Korean traditional attire).

Woo Yeon Woo once again takes center stage as he steps out with the rest of the onlooking Wild Animal members looking somewhat shocked and flustered behind him. In particular, this scene is reminiscent of when Woo Yeon Woo and High Priest Rembrary first swapped bodies, causing a broadcasting accident in which Woo Yeon Woo shamelessly yelled, “I don’t know how to dance,” in the middle of a performance. Viewers are excited to see if Wild Animal will be able to successfully wrap up their first comeback stage.

The production team shared, “On this week’s broadcast, Woo Yeon Woo will make a big decision ahead of his promotional activities with Wild Animal,” asking viewers to look forward to Woo Yeon Woo’s growth as an idol.

The next episode of “The Heavenly Idol” will air on March 15 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
