Kim Jung Hyun Is Determined To Stop Im Soo Hyang's Tragic Fate From Repeating In "Kokdu: Season Of Deity"

Will Kim Jung Hyun be able to avert a seemingly predetermined tragedy in MBC’s “Kokdu: Season of Deity”?

“Kokdu: Season of Deity” is a fantasy romance drama starring Kim Jung Hyun as Kokdu, a grim reaper who leaves the underworld every 99 years to punish humans in the mortal realm. During his latest trip, he winds up meeting Han Gye Jeol, a female doctor who has the mysterious ability to order him around (played by Im Soo Hyang).

On the previous episode of “Kokdu: Season of Deity,” Han Gye Jeol’s memories from her past life as Seol Hee returned when she came across the old hair pin she once used as a weapon in her tragic murder-suicide. As a result, she became overwhelmed with guilt and sorrow after realizing that she was the reason behind Kokdu’s curse. 

In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Kokdu is alarmed to discover that the fateful hair pin is back in Han Gye Jeol’s possession. Worried that their tragic fate from their past lives will repeat itself, Kokdu senses danger in the hair pin’s presence and chooses to seek out Geum Ban Ji (Sung Byung Sook): the person who gave Han Gye Jeol the hair pin both in her past life and her present one.

Determined not to let the horrific tragedy from their past play out once again, Kokdu fiercely warns Geum Ban Ji to stay away from Han Gye Jeol—but Geum Ban Ji is not easily intimidated, raising the question of how this encounter will impact Han Gye Jeol’s future.
