BLACKPINK's Jisoo Takes Just One Day To Break Record For Highest 1st-Week Sales By A Female Soloist

One day of sales was all BLACKPINK’s Jisoo needed to become the female soloist with the highest first-week sales in all of Hanteo history!

On March 31 at 1 p.m. KST, Jisoo made her long-awaited solo debut with her first single album “ME” and its title track “FLOWER.”

According to Hanteo Chart, “ME” sold an impressive total of 876,249 copies on March 31 alone—setting a new record for the highest first-day sales by any female solo artist in Hanteo history. (The previous record belonged to Jisoo’s bandmate Lisa‘s “LALISA,” which sold 330,129 copies on the first day of its release back in 2021.)

Even including groups, Jisoo is now the female artist with the second-highest first-day sales in Hanteo history—bested only by her own group’s latest album “BORN PINK.”

On top of that, within just one day, “ME” has already broken the record for the highest first-week sales of any album by a female soloist in Hanteo history. (The previous record for first-week sales also belonged to “LALISA,” which sold a total of 736,221 copies in its first week.)

Congratulations to Jisoo on her historic achievements!
