Yoon Chan Young, Golden Child's Jaehyun, And Lee Seo Jin Confirmed For New Drama

Yoon Chan Young, Golden Child’s Jaehyun, and Lee Seo Jin will work together in a new drama!

On April 6, the three main cast members of the new drama “I Am a Gangster Who Became a High School Student” (literal title) were announced including Yoon Chan Young, Jaehyun, and Lee Seo Jin, raising viewers’ anticipation for the chemistry between the two young actors with youthful charms and a veteran actor who will be the pillar of the drama with his stable acting skills.

“I Am a Gangster Who Became a High School Student” is a fantasy drama which tells the story of a gangster whose soul accidentally enters the body of a 19-year-old high school student. Having wanted to go to college, he builds a new friendship with a student who suffers from domestic violence and punishes perpetrators with his skills.

Yoon Chan Young will take on the role of 19-year-old high school student Song Yi Heon as well as 47-year-old gangster Kim Deok Pal who possesses Song Yi Heon’s body. Song Yi Heon is a student who is not easily noticeable due to his stooped posture and timid personality whereas Kim Deok Pal stands out with his sharp appearance and muscular body.

Golden Child’s Jaehyun takes on a new acting challenge through “I Am a Gangster Who Became a High School Student.” Jaehyun will play high school student Choi Se Kyung, who appears to be perfect with his handsome looks, easygoing personality, and physical strength, but he is actually a sensitive and prickly person.

Lastly, Lee Seo Jin will portray gangster Kim Deok Pal who looks ignorant on the outside but is actually persistent, honest, and full of humanity. He also holds the personal desire to go to college. As a veteran actor with numerous hit projects across the small and big screens including “Damo,” “Lee San, Wind in the Palace,” “Marriage Contract,” and “Intimate Strangers,” Lee Seo Jin plans to showcase even more delightful charms through his new drama.
