IU's Upcoming Drama Denies Reports Of Her Alleged Pay Per Episode

Representatives of IU’s agency and upcoming drama have denied reports of her alleged pay for the project.

On April 6, it was reported that IU was getting paid 500 million won (approximately $379,200) per episode for her upcoming Netflix series “You Have Done Well” (literal title), receiving the best compensation among Korean actresses.

The same day, the drama’s production company Pan Entertainment explained, “The corresponding report is not true and the exact amount cannot be disclosed.”

IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment shared a similar statement, commenting, “It is not true that IU is receiving 500 million won as an appearance fee. This is clear misinformation,” adding that the situation was flustering.

The upcoming drama “You Have Done Well,” with the Korean title written in the Jeju dialect, will tell the adventurous life stories of Ae Soon and Gwan Shik who were born on Jeju Island in the 1950s. IU will play the role of the bold and rebellious Ae Soon while Park Bo Gum will star as Gwan Shik, a quiet but extremely reliable character.

On April 26, IU and Park Seo Joon‘s film “Dream” will hit theaters. Watch a trailer here!
