Watch: Boy Group Main Vocalist Shows Off His Singing And Beatboxing Skills On

On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Green Onion Boy” was revealed!

During the April 9 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, four contestants advanced to the next round in their quest to challenge the reigning champion.

In the first match-up of Round 2, Green Onion Boy performed a soulful rendition of Sam Kim‘s “Who Are You” (from the soundtrack of the hit drama “Goblin“). The performance showcased a different side of the masked singer from Round 1, when he sang a sweet duet version of Oh My Girl’s “Secret Garden.”

Although Green Onion Boy impressed the audience with his talent—with panelist Younha even declaring that she wanted to sing a duet with him in the future—it was ultimately his opponent that won the round.

Green Onion Boy then remained on stage to take off his mask and unveil his identity. Lee Chae Yeon had previously guessed that he was the “main vocalist of a rising boy group,” and she turned out to be exactly right: the masked singer revealed himself to be none other than CRAVITY’s Woobin.

After he unmasked himself, Kim Gura asked for an encore of his impressive beatboxing performance from Round 1, which had wowed the panelists the previous week.

Host Kim Sung Joo then asked Woobin about his goals for the future, and the idol explained that he hoped to become better-known for his vocal ability.

Woobin went on, “To be honest, this is my first individual activity following my debut. So I hope to make CRAVITY better-known as a group to the general public in the future, and I also want to be able to sing for you in more places, including OSTs.”

After the episode aired, CRAVITY also posted several photos of Woobin posing with his mask backstage on their official Twitter account.
