BTS' Suga Tops 3 Billboard Charts With New IU Collab "People Pt.2"
BTS’ Suga’s new pre-release track featuring IU is off to a strong start on the Billboard charts!
On April 18 local time, Billboard revealed that Suga’s new song “People Pt.2” featuring IU— which was released under the name Agust D and will be included on his upcoming solo album “D-DAY“—had entered three different charts at No. 1.
For the week ending on April 22, “People Pt.2” swept the No. 1 spot on the Digital Song Sales chart, World Digital Song Sales chart, and Rap Digital Song Sales chart.
The song also debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, No. 16 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 24 on the Global 200.
Meanwhile, even before its release, Suga’s upcoming title track “Haegeum” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart. Several of his other unreleased tracks from “D-DAY” made the chart as well: “AMYGDALA” entered at No. 3, “Snooze” on No. 9, and “D-Day” at No. 16. All four songs will be released on April 21 at 1 p.m. KST, along with the rest of “D-DAY.”
Finally, IU re-entered Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart at No. 1 this week, marking her second overall week on the chart—and her very first time topping the chart.
Congratulations to both Suga and IU!
