BTS' Suga Breaks Record For Highest 1st-Day Sales By A Solo Artist + Sells Over 1 Million Copies Of "D-DAY"
BTS’ Suga has made Hanteo history with his first official solo album!
On April 21 at 1 p.m. KST, Suga released his new solo album “D-DAY,” along with its intense title track “Haegeum.”
The following day, Hanteo Chart officially announced that “D-DAY” had sold an impressive total of 1,072,311 copies on April 21 alone, setting a new record for the highest first-day sales of any solo album in Hanteo history.
Notably, Suga is only the second solo artist in Hanteo history to sell over a million copies of an album within the first day of its release. The only other soloist to achieve the feat to date is his bandmate Jimin, who held the previous record for the highest first-day sales by a solo artist (for his solo debut album “FACE“).
Even including groups, Suga is now the artist with the fifth-highest first-day sales overall, bested only by his own group BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids.
Congratulations to Suga on his historic achievement!
