Ahn Hyo Seop Freezes Upon Seeing An Unexpected Patient In “Dr. Romantic 3”

“Dr. Romantic 3” has hinted at a suspenseful moment in its upcoming episode.

SBS’s “Dr. Romantic” is a popular drama that follows the stories of realistic doctors working at a rundown hospital in the countryside. Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Min Jae, So Ju Yeon, Jin Kyung, Im Won Hee, Byun Woo Min, Jung Ji Ahn, and more have reprised their roles in the third season, joining several new cast members.

At the end of the drama’s previous episode, some patients that were injured due to an incident at a ski resort were hurriedly carried to the emergency room of Doldam Hospital. In the preview of episode three that was shown right after, Seo Woo Jin (Ahn Hyo Seop) looked at the coming patients in shock as he remarked, “That patient just now is the patient that I sent back home,” piquing viewers’ curiosity about what story will be unveiled in the coming episode.

The newly released stills capture this moment as Seo Woo Jin can be seen freezing in his tracks upon seeing the patients. Because the regular Seo Woo Jin would have moved swiftly with a sense of urgency to immediately treat the patients, his unusual reaction suggests that he recognizes the patient and doesn’t expect them to come.

Next to him, third-year general surgery major Jang Dong Hwa (Lee Shin Young) also goes rigid with shock. Jang Dong Hwa, who in the previous episode had a conflict with Seo Woo Jin because he left work without treating a patient first, looks at Seo Woo Jin with a complex expression.

The production team of “Dr. Romantic 3” teased, “[The upcoming episode] will show Seo Woo Jin doing his absolute best to take responsibility for his patients. Please look forward to finding out what kind of story this patient, who was just brought to Doldam Hospital, has and what happened between Seo Woo Jin and Jang Dong Hwa.”

The next episode of “Dr. Romantic 3” will air on May 5 at 10 p.m. KST.
