Song Duk Ho Sentenced To Probation For Military Enlistment Evasion Charges

On May 17, the Seoul Southern District Court sentenced Song Duk Ho, who was charged with violating the Military Service Act, to one year in prison suspended for two years of probation.

The judge explained the reason for the sentencing, stating that Song Duk Ho was a first-time offender and confessed to all the crimes and that he is expected to fulfill his military service obligations in the future.

Song Duk Ho was previously accused of conspiring with a broker to receive a false diagnosis for fake epileptic symptoms and become exempt from military service.

Song Duk Ho debuted through the film “Burning” in 2018 at the age of 28 (in Korean reckoning) and actively appeared on the big and small screens. He starred in various dramas including “Hospital Playlist,” “Taxi Driver,” “D.P.,” and “Missing: The Other Side 2.” After the news about his military service evasion broke out, Song Duk Ho stepped down from tvN’s upcoming drama “Delightfully Deceitful.”
