tvN’s “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” dropped new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938” is a sequel to the hit 2020 drama “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” which told the story of the male gumiho (mythical nine-tailed fox) Yi Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) in the present day. However, in the new sequel, he unexpectedly finds himself back in 1938, and he embarks on an eventful adventure in his quest to return to the present.

Previously, Yi Yeon prepared for battle against those who were seeking to take the “treasure” away from him. Yi Yeon also planned to take down the Shinigami mercenaries, who were bullying the native Joseon spirits in crafty ways, before returning to the modern era. In order to do so, Yi Yeon planned to bring Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon) and Cheon Moo Young (Ryu Kyung Soo) to his side to fight together against the mercenaries.

The newly released stills capture the powerful aura of the three mountain gods Yi Yeon, Ryu Hong Joo, and Cheon Moo Young. In the ending of the previous episode, Ushiuchibo (Jung Jae Won) surprised the three by unexpectedly appearing in front of them while spreading poisonous fog. However, the unwavering gazes of the three mountain gods preview their victory as they also manage to capture Ushiuchibo, raising anticipation for what changes they will bring as they succeed in their hunt when working together.

The production team previewed, “Unexpected crisis will come finding the Joseon mountain gods. The performance of the mountain gods, who fight fiercely [against each another] but also quickly become one, will stand out,” asking viewers to tune into the chemistry and synergy between Yi Yeon, Ryu Hong Joo, and Cheon Moo Young.
