Watch: Former Girl Group Member Reveals Glimpse Of Married Life On "The King Of Mask Singer"

A former girl group member returned to the stage on the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer”!

During the June 4 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, four contestants advanced to the next round in their quest to challenge the reigning champion.

In the first match-up of Round 2, “Cable Car” performed a lively rendition of Younha’s hit song “Comet.” The celebrity panel praised her performance, with several panelists noting that she seemed like an experienced singer who was at home on the stage.

Before the voting results were revealed, the show played a special video message from actress Kang Sora, who offered the audience several clues to Cable Car’s identity. Kang Sora revealed that she had been friends with Cable Car for a long time, explaining that she’d seen Cable Car on numerous variety shows and decided to personally send her a DM (direct message).

Kang Sora went on to hint that Cable Car looked cute and delicate on the outside, but boasted numerous charms and talents, from cooking to being handy with machines.

While some panelists had other ideas, Kim Gura immediately guessed that Cable Car was Rainbow’s Jisook, who was famous for her wide variety of skills and talents.

While Cable Car had charmed the crowd with her singing, it was ultimately her opponent that won the round—and so she remained on stage to take off her mask and reveal her identity. Sure enough, the masked singer turned out to be none other than former Rainbow member Jisook.

Host Kim Sung Joo went on to ask Jisook about her marriage to Lee Doo Hee, with whom she tied the knot three years ago after they appeared together on the MBC reality show “Don’t Be Jealous.”

Describing their home, Jisook shared, “Both my husband and I love tech gadgets and computers. So everything in our house can be controlled through speech, like turning the lights on and off.”

“Also, most people have a pet dog or pet cat, but we have a pet robot,” she continued. “And we got married when the COVID pandemic was at its height, so we weren’t able to go on a proper honeymoon. So we bought a racing seat and game equipment instead, and we traveled at home through games instead. It’s so much fun.”
