Watch: YG's Yang Hyun Suk Announces TREASURE Will Debut New Unit T5 In July Ahead Of Full Group Comeback

TREASURE has big things planned for this summer!

On June 12 at midnight KST, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk personally announced the agency’s upcoming plans for TREASURE in a special video message.

Yang Hyun Suk first revealed that he was currently planning to release TREASURE’s second full-length album in August.

“This upcoming full-length album by TREASURE will consist entirely of new songs,” promised Yang Hyun Suk. “It’s a ‘REBOOT.’ I feel like TREASURE will be reborn [through this comeback]. You know how when we turn a computer off and on again, we call it ‘rebooting’? I think you can safely look forward to [this album].”

Yang Hyun Suk then announced the agency’s plans to debut a new TREASURE unit called “T5.”

“I asked the TREASURE members to raise their hand if they thought they were the most handsome [within the group],” shared Yang Hyun Suk, “and that’s how this unit of five members was formed.”

The YG founder went on to explain that T5 would make their unit debut in July, ahead of the release of TREASURE’s new album. In what marks a first for YG Entertainment, the unit’s choreography video will be released before their music video.

The five members of T5 will be revealed starting tomorrow (June 13 KST).
