BTS's Jimin Debuts On Billboard's Pop Radio Airplay Chart With

BTS’s Jimin has just achieved an exciting career first on U.S. radio!

On June 13 local time, Billboard revealed that Jimin had made his debut as a soloist on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, which measures weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States.

For the week ending on June 17, “Angel Pt. 1“—BTS’s Jimin’s collab single with NLE Choppa, Kodak Black, JVKE, and Muni Long for the “FAST X” soundtrack—entered the Pop Airplay chart at No. 38.

Jimin is only the fourth male K-pop soloist in history to make it onto the Pop Airplay chart,  following PSY and his own bandmates Suga and Jungkook. Only four other songs by a male K-pop soloist have ever entered the chart: PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” Suga and MAX’s collab “Blueberry Eyes,” Jungkook and Charlie Puth’s collab “Left and Right,” and Jungkook’s FIFA World Cup song “Dreamers.”

“Angel Pt. 1” also stayed strong at No. 37 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 56 on the Global 200 in its third consecutive week on both charts.

Congratulations to Jimin!
