BLACKPINK has set another new YouTube record!

On July 4 at approximately 6:49 a.m. KST, BLACKPINK’s music video for “BOOMBAYAH” surpassed 1.6 billion views, making it approximately six years, 10 months, 25 days, and 11 hours since the music video’s release on August 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. KST to reach this milestone. Furthermore, “BOOMBAYAH” is the first K-pop debut music video in history to achieve the feat.

BLACKPINK has now become the first K-pop artist ever to hit the 1.6 billion mark with three different music videos as “BOOMBAYAH” is the group’s third music video to reach the milestone following “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love.”
