SEVENTEEN, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, And ENHYPEN Earn Circle Million Certifications; Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, TWICE, And More Go Platinum

Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.

On July 6, Circle Chart awarded SEVENTEEN their first-ever quintuple million certification for their latest mini album “FML,” which sold over 5 million copies before the end of June.

aespa also earned their first double million certification for their latest mini album “MY WORLD,” which has sold over 2 million copies since its release.

LE SSERAFIM’s “UNFORGIVEN” became their first album to earn an official million certification after selling over a million copies, and ENHYPEN also received a million certification for their new mini album “DARK BLOOD.”

Meanwhile, both (G)I-DLE’s latest mini album “I feel” and Stray Kids’ 2020 repackaged album “IN生” were certified triple platinum after selling over 750,000 copies each.

TWICE’s 2018 album “Summer Nights” was also certified double platinum after selling over 500,000 copies.

Over in the streaming category, Billie Eilish’s 2019 hit “bad guy” was certified double platinum for reaching 200 million streams.

Finally, Park Jin Young and Sunmi’s duet “When We Disco” and Justin Bieber’s “Off My Face” were both certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.

Congratulations to all of the artists!
